The Plenary Assemblies of SCPI

The South Caucasus Parliamentary Initiative meets for half yearly Plenary Assemblies with the participation of ten parliamentarians from each side. Each Plenary Assembly last for several days of discussion and exchanges of ideas. The Assemblies meet in various European countries and other events and meetings of mutual interest to the three countries take place around the Plenary Assembly.

SCPI has a rotating chairmanship between the three countries and each Assembly is led by the country that holds the chairmanship at the time. At the end of each Plenary Assembly the chairmanship is passed on to the next country in the rotation. Each incoming chairmanship presents a programme of work to the Plenary Assembly and once approved this becomes the basis for activity for the duration of that Chairmanship.

At the end of each Plenary Assembly a body of documents are produced that reflect the work undertaken during the Assembly, the discussions that took place and the agreements reached. These are made public and can be viewed in the Documents section of this website.
